The Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir, & Cultural Center founded by the late Savo Nowlackhia on March 5, 2000, welcomes all members of the community to join us in prayers, celebrations, and social engagement. While our Mandir is located in Scarborough, ON, there have been devotees participating in our services from as far East as Whitby and as far West as Brampton/Mississauga. At Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir, you are guaranteed to find a safe space in which you can socialize freely, practice your religion free of judgement, engage in cultural events, and participate in the many services offered. We particularly pay attention to the care of our youth devotees by thoroughly educating them on the Hindu religion, as well as ensuring that they have all the resources they need to prosper in life; after all, the youth of today are our future.

At Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir & Cultural Center, we aim to enrich the Hinduism-related knowledge of those who are willing to open their hearts and minds. We do this by educating individuals on the teachings of our Hindu scriptures and explain how it relates to everyday living. In order to engage the younger individuals who are new to practicing Hinduism, we consistently offer simplified in-house presentations. To further improve these presentations, we encourage all constructive feedback and are eager to make any modifications that would better your learning experiences
At Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir& Cultural Center, we are thoroughly devoted to teaching the youth and ensuring that they are on the path that is right for them. We emphasize the importance of self-respect, respect for others, and building confidence by getting them involved in the community and offering them as many opportunities as we possibly can. We make sure that our youths are aware that we are always willing to listen to them and help in any way that we can; above all, we promise to do so with open arms, open hearts, and open minds.
We, at Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir & Cultural Center, make it our priority to have consistent involvement in the community. We contribute non-perishable items to the Daily Bread Food Bank semi-annually because we are eager to aid in any way that we can. We ensure that at the end of each religious or cultural event, there is a meal provided to all of those who are present.
Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir & Cultural Center members are committed to making themselves available to help anyone in need of assistance. From children to young adults to elders, the members of Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir & Cultural Center are always more than willing to lend a helping hand.
In addition to our religious celebrations and events, Shiv Sewa Sangh Mandir & Cultural Center often organizes cultural events to which all are invited. We use these events as fundraisers and all of the proceeds go toward the upkeep of the temple.
